As Walter said, this will be a joint blog. It is our opinion that the two of us will make a interesting combination. We have enough in common to have a coherent blog, with clear direction. For example, we are both people from a technical background, living in the Twin Cities, who have recently decided to take up writing.
In addition, we differ enough to give a wide perspective. For example, Walter is mostly interested in writing about reality, while I am only interested in writing works that are an escape from reality. My interest is speculative fiction.
My goal is to write "bad" paperbacks. I don't care if every critic describes me as the worst writer to ever put ink on a page. The fact that they're talking about me, will prove I'm worth talking about. I would like to write a popular book.

I had often wondered what I would write here – my first blog post with my colleague Benjamin. A modern day parable? A story ... from my life? A political rant? A story ... from someone else's life? A poem or other reflection about my dear friend’s battle with cancer? A fictional story? How about something regarding my sister-in-law’s husband’s lost battle with ALS? Something will come, I am sure of it.
